Tusentals demonstranter har samlats på Embarcadero-avenyn i San Francisco för att protestera mot det kinesiska förtrycket i Tibebet och Turkestan.
Borgmästaren i San Francisco, Gavin Newsom försöker nu förkorta hela evenemanget för att förhindra demonstrationer.
Allt fredligt hittills men myndigheterna är helt klart utomordentligt oroade för kravaller.

Route shortened after thousands gather for S.F. torch run
San Francisco officials said they would cut the Beijing Olympic torch route short today, following a chaotic morning along San Francisco’s Embarcadero, where thousands of people descended to support and protest the torch run.
From McCovey Cove and AT&T Ballpark to Justin Herman Plaza and Pier 39, pro-torch demonstrators carrying red Chinese flags - many of whom were bused in by the Chinese consulate and other pro-China groups - faced off with demonstrators hoping to draw attention to the nation’s human rights record.
Many of the protesters carried Tibetan flags and preached independence for the country, while others were on hand to support Burma or rail against China’s backing of the Sudanese government in its war in Darfur.
